Eurogamer.net is reporting that Sony has been showing off the next generation of PSP to developers and that it has touch sensitive controls. The new model has the same dimensions as the PSP-300 model with the touch sensitive controls on the backside of the system.
Sony’s current vision for the next-generation PlayStation Portable is roughly the same size as the PSP-3000 and has touch controls on the reverse of the unit. Their sources give conflicting launch dates with on as soon as winter holiday 2011 while another says 2-3 years from now. It was not revealed how data storage was handled but is is thought to be flash media support, similar to the PSPgo, seems most likely.
When asked about it Sony told Eurogamer it “does not comment on rumour and speculation”.
