With the Japanese launch of Final Fantasy XIII less than a month away, Square Enix has put out what should be the final trailer for their flagship series. The five-minute video features quite a bit of cutscene dialog (all in Japanese) mixed in with some battles and running around in-game (and a chocobo!). All of this is set to the beautiful song “Kimi ga Iru Kara” (Because You’re Here) by Sugawara Sayuri, which is being replaced in the English versions by “My Hands” by Leona Lewis. Some of the cutscenes have been shown before, but they have added more Fang to this one.
I’m sure we’ll see some more English language trailers between now and the March 9th launch in the North America, Europe and Australia, but, for those who don’t speak Japanese, you can at least enjoy the visuals for now. Final Fantasy XIII is being released in Japan on the PlayStation 3, and on PS3 and XBox 360 in Europe and North America.
