Square Enix has announced an official date for the open beta of Final Fantasy XIV on PC, and it’s very soon. The open beta in the land of Eorzea will begin at 2:00 GMT on September 1st. For North Americans, that means we’ll get it late Tuesday, August 31st. The game’s site itself doesn’t have any information on the open beta yet, nor does the beta site, as this was reported via their Twitter feed.
Along with the beta news, Square Enix has also release a new trailer with plenty of non-gameplay footage that you can see below. The PC version of Final Fantasy XIV launches September 22nd for the collector’s edition and September 30th for the standard one.
