Even with Final Fantasy XIV around the corner, Square Enix is committed to their loyal Final Fantasy XI fans. At Vanafest in Tokyo, they’ve announced three upcoming expansions for Final Fantasy XI that are set to come out this year: Vision of Abyssea, Scars of Abyssea, and Heroes of Abyssea.
They are all high level battle areas, which will come in handy as Square Enix also announced that they will be raising the level cap to 99. The three will require the Rise of the Zilart and Wings of the Goddess expansions to play. Each expansion will run you $9.99 with the first one, Vision of Abyssea, due out this summer. Odin and Alexander are also scheduled to make an appearance in Vana’diel this year.
