Sega Europe has uploaded a new trailer for the upcoming action game Bayonetta, directed by Hideki Kamiya, maker of Viewtiful Joe and Devil May Cry. And from the trailers, the game seems to play in a similar manner to the Devil May Cry series. For those five people left who haven’t heard about the game yet, you play a woman who uses a combination of handguns, magical attacks and transformations to combat your enemies. The trailer also introduces you to “Witch mode” which slows down time around Bayonetta in a manner similar to Max Payne’s “bullet time” and other systems. Along with “Witch mode,” the trailer also displays transformations into a panther, butterfly, bird and cloud of bats. Bayonetta is due out January 5, 2010 in North America and January 8, 2010 in Europe.
