After months of waiting, North American and European release dates are here for the Playstation 4. Today at Gamescom, Sony announced that the next-gen console will hit North American shelves on November 15th and confirmed the launch price of $400 in the United States. Europe will be getting their consoles two weeks later on November 29th at €399 or £349.
Sony expects to have the PS4 out in 32 countries by the end of the year, far outpacing the 13 Microsoft is targeting for the Xbox One. Sony’s announcement came with one other thing of note: that one million individuals worldwide have already pre-ordered the console. Presumably, that number will grow considerably with the official release date now out in the open.
