Nozomi Entertainment has re-launched their countdown clock to announcing a new license and along with it, a contest. The contest requires you to listen to a pair of audio clues and determine a password and the anime they have licensed. If you don’t have speakers, both numerical codes are written out at Mania.com’s forum. If you are the first one with the correct answer, you can win a $100 gift card for use at Rightstuf.com while 4 other entries win $25. The deadline for entries is March 17 at 3:15 p.m. CDT. Nozomi will announce the license officially at 4 p.m. CDT.
Update 3/17: Nozomi has announced that their new license is the original Dirty Pair TV series. The DVD collection will be offered in two parts with English subtitles. There is no official release date yet.
Dirty Pair originally aired in 1985, and follows Kei and Yuri, a pair of “trouble consultants” who work in the criminal investigations division. The two work together to apprehend crooks, and while they always catch their criminal, sometimes, the destruction caused gets out of hand. The OVAs were originally released by ADV Films, but the TV series has never been licensed in North America for DVD release.
