Even though there were 11 years (and plenty of side stories) between Mega Man 8 and Mega Man 9, gamers won’t have to wait nearly so long for the 10th installment in the series. Joystiq is reporting that the Blue Bomber will be making a return trip to the Wii in March 2010, continuing to make March one of the most expensive gaming months for me in a long time. Mega Man 10 will be available exclusively on WiiWare and will hearken back to the old run-and-shoot platformers. As the release draws near, we’ll probably start to get more information on the bosses Mega Man will face and any additional allies he will have. From the promotional art released, it looks like Proto Man will be joining him in their fight against robotic crab-mice, dragons and spacecraft, but I’m sure more thorough information will be available soon.
Update (12/16/09): Both Sony and Microsoft have confirmed that Mega Man 10 will be available on their systems as well.
