I am kind disappointed in the changes that have been made. You have ammo clips again. WTF?!

The vehicle exploration has been removed completely and replaced with a god awful slow mineral scanning from space mini-game. All upgrades you find or buy affect the entire party. Absolutely no customizing you team to your play style. Many sections of your ship are not available until you recruit the proper team member. The citadel has been reduced to 4 rooms. Was it really that much of a pain to walk you character around the station? No weapon or armor changing in the field. The mining game is necessary to get the materials to upgrade the ship, which you want to do if you want the “Best” ending. Bullshit. I want the old style back.

Hercules, Atalanta, Jason, Pan, Achilles

Rise of the Argonauts (XBOX 360) A nice little action RPG from Codemasters. The game follows the story of King Jason as he seeks a way to resurrect his wife. The opening tragedy that all games need to start your quest is the attempted assassination of Jason by a group called the Black Tongues. The poisoned arrow meant for Jason hits his Wife instead. After your tutorial battles as you chase the assassins out of your castle you embark on a quest to find a way to resurrect your wife. You discover early on that the mythical Golden Fleece resurrect your wife and the adventure begins.

This is the only game that actually gives you a reason (beyond mental masturbation) for trying to get every achievement in the game. The game achievements can be sacrificed as offerings to Ares, Apollo, Hermes, or Athena. As you gain favor with the gods by these sacrifices they will bless you with new powers.

The battle system is simple but effective. You have a Strong and weak attack, a dodge button, and a block button. You keep the same shield throughout the entire game. You can find better weapons and armor. Better armor increases health. The weapon types are, Mace, Spear, and Sword. They work in a Rock, Paper, Scissors power scenario. Mace (slow but powerful) weak against Spear attacks. Spear has range and Medium attack speed. Weak against Sword attacks. Swords are the quickest but weakest weapon. Short range. Weak against Mace attacks.

Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines (PSP)

Bloodlines takes place a few months after the Altair events of Assassin’s Creed. Altair is tracking the Templars back to Europe as he attempts to prevent the Templar’s from rising to power again, and to thwart any efforts to find another “Apple of Eden” (Play the original Game to know what that is).

The camera controls suck. There are several missions that require you to chase down someone. The inability to change the camera without easily has been a major reason for repeating missions so far.

Finally beat this game. I’ll have my full review up soon.
