Anime publisher FUNimation has announced that they will be improving their 24-hour anime network by offering an additional high-definition version of the FUNimation Channel in some television markets. The service started yesterday in some areas. A list of which markets and providers is not readily available; so, you’ll have to check with your local provider for that information.
The HD service will stream titles such as Baccano!, Claymore, D.Gray-man, Darker than BLACK, Samurai 7, Slayers Evolution-R, and Soul Eater.
In a separate announcement, FUNimation has also put up a new three-minute clip of Eden of the East via their YouTube channel. They will be releasing the box set of Eden of the East on September 28th in both DVD and Blu-ray formats. You can see the fifth clip below, and the rest of their previews here.

How many people here have called their television service provider about requesting the FUNimation Channel because if they do not know there is a demand for it, they will not provide the channel?

Before I got rid of cable, I did talk to mine, and they told me they needed more demand before they would think about it. Most people probably don’t think too much about the fact that they can ask their cable company to add channels, they just sit there and surf them.
