Microsoft updated their Live Terms of Service to allow users to Identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, Straight. Under the old agreement no reference to sexual orientation was allowed. This was not done because of any moral stance on MS part. They know full well their are bigots out their and they felt they would save everyone some grief if they just made everyone’s profile and gamertag neutral. Well the LIVE community spoke out against this policy and MS has loosened the restrictions a bit. You can now add references to being Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender, or Straight in your Bio and your gamertag under the restriction that MS will still remove it if your reference is done in a discriminatory or offensive way.
So Ninja GayDan :p will be ok. FagsMustDie will still be prohibited.
While I’m glad MS is allowing people to express themselves in their bio’s and gamertags, I really don’t understand why some people need to announce their sexual orientation to the world. But then I don’t understand why others would harass you over the same thing either.
Anyone out there going to update their Bio’s?

What difference does it make who you’re sexually attracted to when you’re playing games?
I’m not playing my XBox to pick up women, I’m there to play a game. I don’t care about your skin color or sexual preference. Hell, I probably don’t even care what your real name is, either.
