Phoenix Wright will be back in his trademark blue suit this fall, and as you can see in the trailer below, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies (previously called Ace Attorney 5) has moved into the realm of 3D graphics. While not shown in the trailer, you’ll also be able to explore 3D crime scenes to look for clues. Investigators will be able to zoom in to interact with smaller sections of the scene when looking for hard-to-find pieces of evidence.
Dual Destinies is set eight years after the last time Phoenix Wright made a court appearance. Apollo Justice makes his return, and the Wright Anything Agency has just hired a new assistant defense attorney named Athena Cykes. Athena can use her psychology background to help Phoenix get a read on witnesses when they take the stand. With her “Mood Matrix,” she’ll be able to identify out of place emotions, to catch people telling lies or at least half-truths.
Right now, it’s looking like Dual Destinies is only destined for the eShop, but perhaps Capcom will have a change of heart between now and then. For more info, check out the trailer and gallery below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
