EA mobile looks set to start delivering games for your kindle according to Wired (UK).
EA Mobile is also set to release games on the Kindle. Adam Sussman, Vice President of Worldwide Publishing, EA Mobile said “working with Amazon, we look forward to bringing some of the world’s most popular and fun games to Kindle and their users.” EA Mobile has also been a strong proponent of the iPhone app store with games like Scrabble, Need for Speed Shift and indie flash game Auditorium.
If you are a potential developer for Kindle games some basic rules apply. The max file size is set at 100MB. For comparison the iPhone has a 2GB limit, and the Kindle shares Apples policy on restricting users from wirelessly delivering active content over 10MB on the Kindle’s 3G connection. Files larger than this will need to be transferred via USB.
And as far as being a consumer is concerned I just can’t anything other than Soduku really working for the Kindle. It simply doesn’t have the proper button configuration for games. So unless a new version of the Kindle will be coming out I don’t see this becoming very popular.
