At the Guitar Hero website, there is a special offer running (with the devil) that if you buy Guitar Hero 5, you can obtain a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Looks like Activision’s way of hoping to compete with the upcoming Beatles game. This offer is only good in the USA “while supplies last” and must be postmarked by October 31st; so, if you’re interested, you might as well jump at this opportunity.

The only musician that could ever compete in popularity with the Beatles is Elvis. This is like trying to open a movie along side Harry Potter. It just isn’t going to work. I’ll be very interested in seeing how many people take advantage of the offer.
I on the other hand will be getting a copy of Rock Band: Beatles. I wonder if we’ll be able to rip the Rock Band 2 songs to the hard drive for play in the Beatles edition, like you can do with the original Rock Band?
