Beyblade: Evolution, the newest video game adaptation of the popular cartoon franchise, has been announced. The game will be published by Rising Star Games, who previously published games such as Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward and Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns in Europe.
Beyblade is perhaps best known as a cartoon series that features the main characters competing against each others using spinning-tops toys called Beyblades. The extensive toy-line features the Beyblades the cartoon characters use, so children can reenact battles and compete each other like their favorite characters. The game will use 3DS system’s gyro and motion sensor in order to replicate the toys.
Rising Star will work closely with Nelvana Enterprises, the company responsible for dubbing the cartoon series in North America; the game will tie in with the upcoming TV series: Beyblade: Shogun Steel, set for later this year. Beyblade: Evolution is coming to Nintendo 3DS later in 2013.
