Media Blasters has announced another set of DVD delays for later this year caused in part by a recent restructuring of their warehouse system. However, there seems to be more than just some spacial issues going on as this isn’t the first time that Media Blasters has offset some of their releases this year. Hopefully it’s nothing too major behind the scenes, but with the recent slew of closures and downsizing, it does make you think. It’s hard for a company to sustain interest in their series when there are multiple delays to their releases. As seen with many manga titles from ADV in the past, it eventually ended up killing their business. Hopefully, we won’t see Media Blasters fall to the same fate.
Most of their delays are for their Kitty Media adult imprint including Urotsukidoji while most of their indefinite holds are for their general audience releases including Queen’s Blade and Kanokon. You can see the full list of changes below:
