RPGamer has found a scan that advertises the new Final Fantasy game that Square Enix has been counting down, and I’ve been following. Note the picture at the bottom: it’s definitely the picture that Square Enix has been using in their countdown. The page is all in Japanese; so, for the non-Japanese speakers, I gave a whirl at a rough translation below the picture. For reference, Picture 1 is bottom left, picture 2 is bottom center, and pictures 3-5 are on the right, overlapping with 3 on top.

A FF game that returns to the cartoon look. I’m all for it. The Emo/Steampunk games they’ve been doing lately just aren’t as good as far as I’m concerned. If they don’t spend so much time on the graphics maybe they’ll give us a better story………..and Voice actors…………or fuck the voice actors. Don’t need to hear them to enjoy a game.
