Its time for another installment of Keep It Or Trade It. This time I’ll be putting the spotlight on Cross Edge for the Playstation 3. The question is, can it handle the heat?
At the Guitar Hero website, there is a special offer running (with the devil) that if you buy Guitar Hero 5, you can obtain a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Looks like Activision’s way of hoping to compete with the upcoming Beatles game.
If you’re looking forward to a non-Japanese version of the smash hit Dragon Quest IX, you’ll be waiting a while. SiliconEra reports that during a Q&A session, Yoichi Wada stated that they are merely “considering” bringing DQIX stateside, and that it wouldn’t happen before April of 2010 at the earliest.
Joy of joys! Square Enix has decided to taunt us with another countdown clock. This one is set to detonate around noon EDT on August 7th. It has a big Roman numeral counting down the days and Arabic numerals for the hours, minutes and seconds. I was just on the site as it clicked down from IV days to III days, and when that happened, some smudged kanji appeared below it. I would expect that as it counts down further, the kanji will become clearer and I might be able to translate for you. Square Enix hasn’t had much success with getting these clocks down to zero before a magazine leaks the story. We’ll see about this one, too.
If you love Shin Megami Tensei (and if you don’t, you’re a bad person and should feel bad), you can choose your distribution method for the PSP remake of the original Persona.
There was a time not so long ago that I was ecstatic that Kyoto Animation and Kadokawa finally got around to producing season 2 of The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. That lasted for about 3 episodes: Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, and episodes 1 and 2 of the Endless Eight arc. Then, KyoAni and Kadokawa decided it would be a great idea to keep making Endless Eight episodes. According to Anime News Network, eight of them to be exact, with the last one airing this week.
According to Joystiq, the newest edition of Famitsu Wave has a DVD with 8 minutes of information regarding Final Fantasy XIV. There is no character levelling system, it seems that your strengths and skills are more reliant on the equipment you have.
One more fail for my beloved PS3. It looks like Netflix might be coming to the Wii and even iPhone, but not the supposed home entertainment system.
